JOB OBJECTIVE
A Construction Estimator is responsible for analyzing project costs, preparing estimates, and ensuring budget accuracy for construction projects. They work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to assess materials, labor, and time requirements, ensuring financial feasibility and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in estimation software.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and project plans to determine project scope and cost.
2. Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for labor, materials, and equipment.
3. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to align estimates with project requirements.
4. Obtain and review vendor and subcontractor quotes for competitive pricing.
5. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and risks in project planning.
6. Track and update project costs, ensuring estimates remain within budget constraints.
7. Present cost estimates to stakeholders and adjust as necessary based on project developments.
8. Utilize estimation software and databases to streamline the estimation process.
9. Stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates.
10 Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and building codes.
REQUIREMENTS
1. 8+ Years of Commercial Construction Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role.
2. Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and cost structures.
3. Excellent mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
4. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously.
5. Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
